Mesa Spirit RV Resort

By |May 5th, 2014|

Mesa, Arizona Website:  http://mesaspirit.com/ Overview:  This is a mega resort in downtown Mesa (just outside of Phoenix).  This area is full of this type of housing (geared toward Snow-birds) and we were curious about them.  So we stayed here for one night.  And that was long enough.  The amenities are amazing!  It is definitely an active community, which is wonderful, but the RV spots are a little to close for our comfort.   They’re over 1800 spaces in this park!  Everyone was very friendly and all amenities were clean and well kept up.  It is a nice place if you want very close neighbors and community, however we prefer to have privacy and nature views. Campsites:  Fairly level gravel-parking pad with concrete patio and driveway for tow vehicle.  The patio area is quite large but the neighbors are VERY close!  30/50 Amp, sewer, water, and cable at each site.  About 1/3 -1/2 of the park is permanent homes (park models, built up trailers, etc.). Amenities: Three separate activity areas that include pools, spas, halls, fitness rooms, shuffleboard courts, and arts/crafts rooms (quilting room, woodworking, stained glass, silversmith, etc.).  Guard at gate.  The pools and spas are very well maintained and nice.  Lots of daily activities are available. Pet friendly: Yes, several fenced-in pet relief areas.  However, some fences are only 2 feet tall.  In addition, not all campsites are pet-friendly and there are specific roads that are pet friendly walking areas and some streets are restricted.  Internet:  Fast free Wi-Fi available. Price:  $49-61/night (monthly, annual rates available) Rating:  2/5
