San Juan Island, WA
Website: http://www.lakedale.com/
Overview: This is a lovely resort on San Juan Island. It is about 5 miles from downtown Friday Harbor (and the ferry system) and 5-10 minutes to Roche Harbor. It is a large resort with a lodge, cabin rentals, canvas tent rentals, lots of tent sites, and 6 RV sites. It is surrounded by two lakes and has walking trails and several docks. We enjoyed our time here and the staff was very friendly and helpful. This is the only private RV resort on the island. There are two state/county campgrounds that have some RV spots, but they may not be able to accommodate RVs over 30 feet. There is a county fairground in Friday Harbor that allows RVs of all sizes.
Campsites: Fairly level earthen sites with 50/30 amps and water. Each RV site has a picnic table and fire pit. Five RV sites are in the same area and are fairly closely spaced with minimal privacy. But they do overlook one of the lakes. One RV site is on its own near tent sites. According to the park only two of the six sites are capable of holding an RV 30-40 feet, however we could have parked our 36 foot RV in 5/6 sites. NO sewer dump station is available on site. There is a public, free dump station in Friday Harbor.
Amenities: Camp store, lodge, rental cabins and canvas tents, bathhouses (5 minute shower is $2), lots of daily activities (tie dye t-shirts, etc.), lake beach access, lake docks, rental boats, fishing, ping pong table, life-size chess board, swimming, bocce ball court, horseshoes, and lots of beautiful lake viewing!
Pet friendly: Yes.
Internet: Free public Wi-Fi available at lodge and camp store. NO Wi-Fi or cellular signals at campsites!
Price: $70/night (water and electric)
